Glymm Box — June 2012

Work has been relatively quiet this past week, I’ve been able to get through about half of my built-up task list (it’s usually two pages’ worth), so when our mail room let me know there was a package for me I got excited: my first Glymm box arrived today, hooray!

After the disappointment (perhaps unfounded) with the latest Loose Button Luxe Box shenanigans, it was nice to receive a new box. I haven’t had any from Glymm before, but I’ve heard very good things, so here we go.

Inside the shipping box, wrapped in white tissue, I found a blue nylon zippy cosmetics bag containing:

  • 2 La Fresh Eco-Beauty Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover pads — Full size is a package of 18 pads for $10. I’ve wanted to try these for a while, now’s my chance! Each pad should be enough to remove polish from 10 fingers, so that’s cool.
  • Clark’s Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream — This is a little pot, maybe 10ml more or less? Full size is 50ml for $115, wow. The company donates a portion of their sales to the Christopher Reeve Foundation, that’s nice. Exfoliating and moisturizing cream, they say I should get 10-14 uses out of this sample. That’s another thing I’m liking about Glymm, that they give you an idea of how long your sample should last.
  • Salvadore Dali ItIsDream perfume — A little tube spritzer, maybe 1ml? Full size (60ml) is $54. Quite a nice scent actually — fruity on top, floral in the middle, woody in the base. Expected use of sample: 35 sprays.
  • Vitamin & Sea Perfect Skin Solution — Another little tube, probably 1.5ml, full size of 45ml retails for $68. Another facial thing, this one’s a serum, expected usage is 5 applications. Not sure if I’ll like it or not, but we’ll see.
  • Belvada Duo Lipstick | Harmony — Full size! 3.4g for $20. A bit of a large double-tube with a lipstick on one end (Elegant Maroon) and a balm on the other, such a smart idea.
So here we go! Just based on this one month’s package I’m loving it, I have another coming next month and I can’t wait! If you would like to try Glymm for yourself (the month-to-month plan will cost you $12 each, if you go up to 12 months in advance it’ll cost you $120, which is 2 boxes for free), please consider following my link (https://www.glymm.com/share/k0shk4)!
