I figured I’d better make a central list, as it’s getting a bit out of hand. Some of these descriptions are ones I wrote on this blog previously.

Tarot/divination 'want it' list

Just a central list so I can get at it when I need to. Not sure I actually WANT all of these, but I find them interesting anyway.

Scientific method

I just read a great post shared by a friend about the scientific method and how you can't be mad at the result if the method was sound. I fully agree.

Then why do I have tarot cards and crystals in my house? Because I also like them.

Packrat tendencies

I'm a packrat. And a clotheshorse. Some of my friends joke that I'm actually a hoarder.

But sometimes I suspect they're not really joking.

Capsule post, Autumn 2012

Hrm. So.

Any of you who are familiar with my blog know that I tend to go quiet for a while and then catch up, during which time I just don't write anything at all or I write a bunch of stuff but leave it in draft purgatory. Well, the past few months has been no different - many things have been afoot, so this has had to take a back burner to the rest of life.

Alternative Toronto

And no, that’s not Toronto people who are into alternative lifestyles.

I think I’ve spoken before about ‘Alternative Toronto’ – I dream about it every once in a while, usually in different areas of the city but always consistent with the last time I dreamed about it. I keep planning on mapping it out but I never get around to it. There’s a subway station on a platform hanging over the Don Valley, a beach-and-cliff combo downtown, the financial district buildings shift and change size… Anyway, in the past nine days I’ve had two AT dreams, which seems to be an increase in frequency to me.

Yeah, okay, so I suck. I haven’t been posting much, no. Part has been me just generally sucking, but part has also been me being VERY busy.

Tarot catch-up

Wow, I’ve really sucked about posting lately, but I have been quite busy. Not an excuse really, but that’s what I’ve got. Work has been crazy and I’ve been preparing for having house guests, so I haven’t been doing too much outside of that. But I have bought four more Tarot card decks since my last deck update...

The Tarot obsession – a follow-up post

Alright, since the last post on these I’ve got two more - the Necronomicon deck and the Tarot of Atlantis. I didn’t do a real description of the decks I have though, so here’s my little review of them all, so far:

Facing facts:

I’ve been really terrible about posting – I have a lot of stuff in draft purgatory, and I don’t know whether I want to rescue it or not. Maybe I want to just let to let it lie there, maybe come back to it next year to see a nice surprise – like finding a $20 bill in your winter coat pocket in November.

'twas hard.

It was a hard week this week, going back to work after two weeks off. There was a lot to catch up on, and my stuff from the holidays is all still sitting in cases in the living room! Anyway, got back to darts (won my doubles 501), made a new pouch for my stones (the one they came with kinda sucked), tried out my new stones, and I bought a slow cooker and tested it out – mac & cheese, which turned out a bit dry, I think I have to revise the recipe…

I’m Jack Benny’s age

While I was home over the holidays Mum took delight in telling me I’d be Jack Benny’s age on my birthday this year. Funnier than the comment, though, was her delight in sharing it with me – and, to be honest, every time I think of it I smile, so that’s all good.

Okay, so let’s do this in order or I’ll get emotional.
